The MOL Campus, our first project in Hungary and our tallest building to date, is a 120m high tower designed to be MOL Group’s headquarters and primary workplace. MOL chose bGrid to deliver the smart building solution for the project, as creating a sustainable, healthy working environment was a key focus of the project. Additionally, MOL wanted a building that would be purpose-built for their employees, with different types of workspaces to support different projects. Smart building technology like our solution can create this, as well as allow the building to adapt to employees over time.
bGrid’s smart building solution, which we integrated as a digital backbone to the MOL Campus, is a network of omni-sensor nodes that allow for the optimization of the building through real-time data, actionable insights, and various smart building functionalities. We gather occupancy and climate data, including people counts, movement, temperature, lighting levels, and more. This data can be used by MOL Group to optimise the campus to their employees: providing healthier meeting rooms by monitoring air quality, optimally setting the lighting and temperature, and allowing their employees to use sound and occupancy data to find the ideal workspace for their goals.
Building data like that collected by bGrid’s network can also be used to achieve sustainability goals, which was important to MOL Group. We provide them with environmental data that they can use to save energy and make their building more sustainable. Upon completion, MOL Group intends for the campus to obtain both LEED and BREEAM qualifications, which recognise innovative and sustainable buildings. Over the coming years, bGrid will continue to work with MOL Group to achieve this goal, as well as to make the MOL Campus future proof, adaptable, and comfortable for the people who work in it.
We deliver you the building as a smartphone. Features that update like apps and hard data to talk numbers!
